Objectives

The 2022 Summer School gathered a group of selected policy makers from national development and planning authorities, and sectorial ministries and agencies from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan as well as international experts on sustainable infrastructure (GIZ, OECD, IISD, UNECE to name a few) to share policy experience and disseminate good practices and knowledge in tackling challenges regarding sustainable infrastructure planning and financing in the context of climate and development objectives.

Over the course of three days, Participants engaged in interactive discussion and knowledge-sharing on long-term strategic infrastructure planning, investment project evaluation, tools and instruments to leverage public finance; and innovative solutions to mobilise private finance.

The brainstorming and knowledge-sharing activities helped identify good practices and remaining gaps to align investments with low-emission, resilient development pathways.

Target audience
