3-4 October 2024 Washington DC, United States & online
The Public Debt Management Network, an initiative jointly fostered by the OECD, the Italian Treasury, and the World Bank, is organising the 3rd edition of the biennial Public Debt Management Conference, which will be held in Washington DC, United States, on October 3-4, 2024.
This conference is among the few events specifically aimed at promoting dialogue among policy makers (debt managers, central bankers, regulators), academics and market practitioners (investors, dealers, market infrastructures’ managers), to encourage knowledge sharing and collaboration across organisational and disciplinary boundaries. It will explore techniques, analysis and proposals to improve the management of public debt in the context of a shifting macroeconomic, geopolitical, regulatory, and technological environment.
The 3rd edition of the PDM Conference will explore techniques, analyses, and proposals to address specific challenges related to public debt management within the following subject areas:
- Disaster risk finance
- ESG debt instruments including sovereign green, social, and sustainability bonds
- Management of sovereign debt in an inflationary environment
The call for papers and how to submit your proposals are explained on the link here. The deadline for proposal submissions is March 30, 2024.
The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual attendance, with no registration fees.
