Support to Capacity Development – Identifying Good Practice in Swedish Development Cooperation
The evaluation of Sida support to capacity development aimed to generate knowledge for the evidence-based design of strategies for capacity development. It found that Sida supported interventions have made a very important contribution to capacity development results in partner organisations and that the Swedish support, in general, was adequate for the requirements of the capacity development processes.

Opening Doors and Unlocking Potential – Key Lessons from an Evaluation of Support for Policy Influencing, Lobbying and Advocacy
An increasing number of donors have rediscovered the importance of civil society in creating the conditions for achieving sustainable development. The Netherlands follows this trend. The evaluation concludes that CSOs succeed to various degrees in placing issues higher on the agenda and in influencing policy. However, influencing policy implementation is far more difficult to realise.

Aided Trade – An Evaluation of the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (2005-2012)
This report presents the findings of the evaluation of the Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI). The evaluation investigates CBI’s sectoral export coaching programme and the business support organisation development. The report concludes that CBI’s sectoral export coaching programmes were relevant, though often insufficient to stimulate companies to start exporting to Europe.

Evaluation of the EU Support to Environment and Climate Change in Third Countries (2007-2013) - Main report
The support has been relevant at country, regional and global levels, and has paved the way for increased prioritization of environment and climate change in current programming. The combination of thematic and geographic instruments has been reasonably effective in reaching the overarching policy goals. Mainstreaming has been more effective than in earlier periods, but there is still much improvement that can be made.

Trust Fund Management at the African Development Bank
Although the AfDB Trust Fund portfolio has grown rapidly, it still represents less than 1 percent of African Development Fund/African Development Bank lending levels. With an equivalent of US$61 million of disbursements it is well below the number of trust funds and disbursement levels of other multilateral development banks. Still, the reputational risks of trust funds to the AfDB are greater than their relative level of resources.

IMF East Africa Regional Technical Assistance Center (AFRITAC)
The overall evaluation results of East AFRITAC’s Phase III are very strong. The Center has built on the foundations of the program’s previous phases and continued to leverage the advantages of the RTAC model to provide technical assistance and training that is of excellent quality, high relevance and strongly owned by its member countries and technical assistance beneficiaries.

Evaluation of the DFID-AFDB Technical Cooperation Agreement (TCA)
The objectives of the TCA evaluation are to test critical assumptions that technical assistance provided through the TCA helps the AfDB become a more effective, results orientated and responsive development institution; to monitor and evaluate the performance of the TCA as a whole; and to draw lessons from the TCA experience.

Evaluation of Africa Democracy Strengthening Programme – Phase II
The evaluation found that the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) is delivering the Africa Democracy Strengthening programme effectively and that the programme represents a good return on DFID’s investment of funds. The programme has performed well against logframe1 targets and has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of EISA.
