Recommendation of the OECD Council on Good Statistical Practice
Quality statistics are critical for good analysis, transparency, accountability and ultimately the functioning of democracies. The Recommendation of the OECD Council on Good Statistical Practice is a key reference for assessing national statistical systems. The Recommendation applies to OECD members but non-members are also welcome to adhere to it. This online Toolkit includes:
- The Recommendation along with a set of good practices based on existing international and national guidelines
- A self-assessment tool based on the list of good practices
- Completed country assessments and
- Links to other international guidelines for official statistics.
