Media Advisory - OECD Ministerial Council Meeting 7-8 June 2023

30/05/2023 - The 2023 Meeting of the OECD Council at Ministerial Level, chaired by the United Kingdom with Costa Rica and New Zealand as Vice-Chairs, will take place on 7-8 June 2023.

The Meeting of the OECD Council at Ministerial Level (MCM) is the OECD’s highest-level forum, attended by ministers of finance, economy, foreign affairs, trade and other government departments from OECD Member and Partner countries, and by representatives of International Organisations.

The theme of this year’s MCM is “Securing a Resilient Future: Shared Values and Global Partnerships.”  The meeting will focus on together addressing challenges to our collective economic resilience, while upholding our shared values, and building and nurturing partnerships with countries beyond the OECD membership. Areas of focus on the agenda are:

  • Economic resilience: policies for a strong, inclusive growth and economic values,
  • Future frontiers: innovative technology for net zero economies, and
  • Global partnerships: a long-term commitment to the Indo-Pacific region.

The agenda is underpinned by an emphasis on core shared values, in particular gender equality and harnessing and developing all the talent and diversity within our societies.

Selected sessions of the MCM and related events, including the OECD Global Forum on Technology and a presentation of the OECD Economic Outlook, will be open to media on-site and virtually as shown below. Additional media briefings may be scheduled. Media workspace and interview locations will be provided, and a virtual media kit will be made available.

For further information, or to request interviews, journalists are invited to contact the OECD Media Office (news.contact@OECD.org; tel. +33 1 4524 9700).
