The OECD will present its latest Economic Survey of Ireland on Wednesday 14 December 2022. The Survey examines how Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine is affecting the Irish economy and looks at ways to tackle rising inflation as well as longer-term challenges such as pressures in the housing market, an ageing population and the need to accelerate efforts to reduce greenhouse emissions. A special chapter looks at how Ireland could improve performance and efficiency in the health sector to achieve greater value for money.

OECD Deputy Director of Country Studies Vincent Koen will present the Survey’s key findings and recommendations, and take questions, alongside Irish Finance Minister Paschal Donohoeand other speakers from 10:15 to 11:15 am during an event hosted by the Institute of International and European Affairs (8 North Great Georges Street, Dublin 1) starting at 9am with a presentation on the Report of the Commission on Taxation and Welfare.
