Past High-Level Meetings and Ministerials
The OECD LAC Regional Programme (LACRP) holds one conference a year under one of the three pillars of the programme, Productivity, Social Inclusion and Governance.
4th Ministerial Summit on Productivity - Towards a productive, human-centred and sustainable integration in the world economy jointly organised with the Brazilian government, gathered senior officials from OECD and LAC countries, international organisations, and representatives from both the private sector and civil society, around the theme Towards a productive, human-centred and sustainable integration in the world economy and will examine strategies and actions to achieve it.
The Second Ministerial Summit of the LAC Regional Programme (LACRP) on Governance was held on 8-10 December 2021, with El Salvador as a virtual host country. The event focused on rebuilding public trust during, and in the aftermath of, COVID-19.
The 2nd Ministerial meeting on Social inclusion was held virtually by the Government of the Dominican Republic and brought together ministers and high-level officials in the fields of labour, planning, economy and social development to engage in a frank discussion on how the COVID-19 crisis will affect the social inclusion agenda in LAC.
The 3rd Ministerial Meeting on Productivity of the OECD LAC Regional Programme held in Colombia in 2019 served as a platform to discuss the opportunities that arise through the digital transformation and what it means for the region.
The 1st HLM on governance served as an opportunity to share best practices on integrity and anti-corruption policies and disseminate concrete tools that countries have at hand to implement the Lima Commitment.
The 1st Ministerial meeting on Productivity, organised by the Chilean government served as an opportunity to bring together LAC Ministers along with academics, experts and international leaders to analyse and discuss the main challenges around productivity and inclusive growth in the region.
