The OECD has regularly contributed to the UN Commission for Sustainable Development (CSD) in the recent years under the auspices of the Annual Meeting of Sustainable Development Experts. The OECD’s contribution for the 18th session of the CSD in 2010 includes an official side event “Globalisation and Sustainable Transport on 10 May 2010, as well as a brief highlighting relevant work of the OECD on waste management which spans across the following areas: sustainable materials management, environmentally sound management of waste, transboundary movements of waste, waste prevention and minimisation, and radioactive waste management.
