The United Nations is convening a Food Systems Summit in September 2021. With ten years to go to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) the Summit is a recognition of the important role food systems around the world can play towards delivering progress on all 17 SDGs.
The Food Systems Summit is organised around five action tracks:
The OECD publication Making Better Policies for Food Systems sheds light on the synergies and trade-offs between these different objectives and on how effective and coherent policies for these action tracks can be designed. Moreover, a wide range of OECD data and analysis can inform the design of better policies for food systems.
