Media advisory - OECD Economic Survey of Finland 2022 – Thursday 15 December

The OECD will present its latest Economic Survey of Finland on Thursday 15 December 2022. The Survey discusses the Finnish economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as its performance amidst a deteriorating global environment. It looks at the impacts of Russia’s war against Ukraine, notably as concerns energy supply needs, as well as what Finland can do to reach a stronger and more sustainable recovery. Further reforms to improve public finances, boost productivity growth and ensure Finland meets its climate change objectives are also discussed. A special chapter looks at how Finland could use public policies to boost innovation across the economy.

OECD Acting Director of Country Studies Isabell Koske will present the Survey’s key findings and recommendations alongside Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä at 12:00 p.m. local time on Thursday 15 December, at the House of Science and Letters (Tieteiden talo, Kirkkokatu 6, 00170 Helsinki). The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion. The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person at the YouTube channel of the Ministry of Finance.
