    Final Evaluation of the Three Diseases Fund - Myanmar

    The US$136 million, multi-donor, Three Diseases Fund (3DF) (2006-2011) was established to reduce the burden of communicable disease mortality and morbidity for HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB) and malaria in Myanmar. The final evaluation of the 3DF aimed to document lessons learnt to inform future health funding and the evaluation of the Three Millennium Development Goal (3MDG) Fund.

    Adverse selection based on observable and unobservable factors in health insurance in rural Cambodia

    Results of empirical studies of the importance of adverse selection remain mixed. In addition, in many empirical studies the effects of adverse selection are difficult to disentangle from the effects of moral hazard.

    Evaluation report for the Bougainville Healthy Community Project - Bridges to post-conflict communities

    The New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has provided funding to the Leprosy Mission of New Zealand to support health initiatives at community level in Bougainville, an autonomous province of Papua New Guinea. Funding has been provided since 2005, with a new model commencing in 2009. This independent evaluation assessed the overall performance of the Bougainville Healthy Communities Programme since 2009.

    Evaluation of the Department for International Development (DFID) Support to Healthcare Workers Salaries in Sierra Leone

    The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) Free Healthcare Initiative(FHCI) was launched to increase access to key healthcare services by removing user fees for priority groups specifically, pregnant women, lactating mothers, and children under five.. DFID SL has budgeted £10.3m to support higher salaries for healthcare workers over a five year period.

    Evaluation of the Austrian Development Cooperation Gender Policy between 2004–2011

    Austria has committed herself within a framework of international agreements to gender equality and women’s empowerment through gender mainstreaming. The relevance of the gender policy document itself appears to be rather limited. Austrian Development Cooperation staff do know it, but do not use it for providing guidance for their work.
