Mid-Term Evaluation of DFID’s Health Research Programme Consortia
Overall, the Research Programme Consortia are an excellent funding modality for integrated and programmatic research – particularly the length and relative flexibility of funding. The evaluation finds that the consortium structure and programme is highly effective. This is now a mature and internationally respected funding modality for development research.

Mid-Term Evaluation of the Budget Strengthening Initiative
This evaluation validates a number of aspects of the Budget Strengthening Initiative's. It also tests the BSI theory of change against a set of evaluation questions derived from the OECD-DAC evaluation criteria and assesses whether the causal mechanisms are supported by the results achieved to date and whether they accurately capture the BSI model in operation.

The Netherlands strives to reduce conflict and promote peacebuilding in fragile states (countries in a conflict or a post-conflict situation). In the period under evaluation, the Netherlands pursued an integrated approach, working with other donor countries and international organisations. This report provides the results of an assessment of the impacts of Tuungane, a major UK government funded Community Driven Reconstruction (CDR) Program implemented by the IRC and CARE International in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The key innovation of this research is the introduction of a novel collection of measures to assess behavioral changes.

Joint evaluation of conflict prevention and peacebuilding in the Democratic Republic of Congo - Policy Brief (FR)
The general difficulty is the distance that separates donors from local realities, which this type of approach does not resolve. The projects follow one another, but with very weak links between them, as the programming does not favour sequencing.
