On 15 November 2016, the OECD Development Centre and the Ministry of Home Affairs organised a workshop to review the first findings of the Youth Inclusion project. The OECD presented the situation analysis of the youth in Viet Nam (major challenges in education, health, employment and participation) as well as the determinants of selected negative outcomes (dropouts and poor job outcomes). Project research partners, the Institute of Labour Science and Social Affaires (ILSSA) presented the background paper on TVET and impact on rural youth employment and the Vietnam Academy Of Social Sciences (VASS) presented the background paper on the link between non-cognitive skills and youth well-being outcomes. 40 participants from line ministries, NGOs and UN agencies participated.
