Culture and Creativity: From Emilia-Romagna to Europe and Beyond
Emilia-Romagna is one of the most vibrant Italian regions in terms of the performance of its cultural and creative sectors (CCS), cultural participation rates and the long tradition of regional policies placing culture and creativity at the heart of regional development efforts and, more recently, integrating culture as a strong element of the Regional Smart Specialisation Strategy.
To further support evidence-based policy making, the region is launching a CCS Observatory as a new tool for policy makers and practitioners to monitor the state of the creative economy. This event will also be an opportunity to learn and discuss the emerging findings of the on-going OECD review on Culture, Creative Sectors and Local Development in Emilia Romagna.
