OECD Secretary-General at the G20 Leader’s Summit in St. Petersburg, 4th - 6th September 2013

 

Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, participated at the G20 Leader’s Summit that took place in St. Petersburg, Russia, on 5-6 September 2013.

 

The Secretary-General delivered key OECD work on taxation, employment, investment, financial education, financial consumer protection, anti-corruption and trade and Global Value Chains for the discussion of the Leaders. He also attended an Informal meeting of G20 Leaders with business and union high-level representatives aimed to discuss the priority of the Russian G20 presidency to define strategies to promoting growth and jobs.

 

While in St. Petersburg, Mr. Gurría presented with Russian Finance Minister Anton Germanovich Siluanov the report “Advancing national strategies for Financial Education”, jointly produced by the OECD and the Russian G20 Presidency. He also had bilateral meetings with G20 Leaders attending the Summit.
