The Policy Handbook on Financial Education in the Workplace, developed by the OECD International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE), targets policy makers, employers and financial education providers interested in improving the financial literacy of employees and in developing the provision of financial education in the workplace.

The Policy Handbook discusses key issues around designing and implementing workplace financial education, and shares relevant case studies, challenges faced and key lessons learnt from OECD/INFE members with experience in implementing financial education in the workplace. Based on this evidence and experience, the Policy Handbook concludes by setting out policy suggestions for policy makers and other stakeholders.

This virtual launch event provided an opportunity for the OECD to present the Policy Handbook. OECD/INFE members with experience in the implementation of financial education programmes in the workplace, and who have provided extensive inputs to the report, presented case studies of their experiences. The event was complemented by a panel discussion among representatives of public institutions, private companies and not-for-profit organisations, who discussed the challenges, lessons learnt and new approaches to ensure that financial education in the workplace remains relevant and effective in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
