OECD Eurasia Week 2023: Working Together in Challenging Times

OECD Eurasia Week 2023, the regular ministerial-level meeting of the OECD Eurasia Competitiveness Programme, will be held on 12-14 December at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France.

Since the last OECD Eurasia Week, the region and the world have been rocked by a series of shocks, including the COVID-19 pandemic and war. Eurasia economies have so far proved fairly resilient, but they continue to face important headwinds and urgent policy challenges. At the same time, the policy innovations and reforms we have seen amid the turbulence of recent years remind us that these shocks can offer an important opportunity to make our economies more innovative, inclusive and sustainable.

The aim of OECD Eurasia Week 2023 is therefore to look ahead at the challenges facing Eurasia and OECD countries and to identify potential solutions and pathways for co-operation on such issues as digitalisation, entrepreneurship, skills, the green transition and connectivity. From climate change to public health to the digital transformation, our countries face challenges that no one state can tackle alone. Even in a context of high international tension, co-operative solutions and collaboration across frontiers have never been more important.

Together, let us identify pathways forward.

OECD Eurasia Week 2023 will include:

  • Opening Address by the Secretary-General of the OECD
  • Plenary sessions:
    • Resilience and Recovery: Overcoming the Shocks of Pandemic and War
