The OECD gathered Ministers of Education and Skills to discuss “Re-building an inclusive and equitable society through education”. This meeting provided guidance on how the OECD can best support countries to build more effective education systems, and leverage synergies with other policy fields so that education and training contribute to better and more equitable economic and labour market outcomes, greater social participation and better-functioning democracies.

The meeting included discussions on: equity and inclusion in education, reshaping curricula to meet learners’ socio-emotional needs, the role of digitalisation in equity and inclusion, how to build foundations for lifelong learning, how education can better respond to the world of work, and how alternative credentials and education providers can drive inclusive lifelong learning and modernise education.
