Workshop on Competition in Digital Markets: Recent Enforcement and New Regulations

24 February 2023  OECD Conference Centre, Paris

This workshop focused on recent regulatory initiatives enacted or proposed across OECD jurisdictions  for competitive digital markets. In particular, it explored data-related and self-preferencing issues as well as the solutions envisaged by the new regulations (e.g., interoperability, data portability, restrictions on the cross-use of personal data). In addition, representatives of competition authorities presented recent competition enforcement cases that could shed some light on the main theories of harm and remedies developed under traditional competition law provisions in order to address similar concerns.
